Abby's Quilting Corner -

I would like to wish everyone a Very Happy & Healthy Holiday Season.
Also, as we come to the end of yet another year, where as the time gone!! A very special thank you to all that have contributed to making a dream come true.
It is so very gratifying to see all these beautiful quilts come to life, from the juniors to the beginners and  advanced quilters keep sewing!
I am so blessed to have touched so many lives.

Please remember those less fortunate than us this holiday season and keep giving, even a simple pillowcase can make someone's holiday shine bright!!

God Bless

Quilts for Kids is a non-profit organization that provides comfort quilts to children aged new-born to late teens. The quilts are distributed across the country to hospitals, pediatric long term/terminal care units, Ronald McDonald houses, women’s & children’s shelters, and the New York & New Jersey communities ravaged by Hurricane Sandy.

Each quilt is created with love by volunteers and we are proud to announce a local effort beginning at Abby’s Quilting Corner in Middletown. Please join us in the spirit of giving as I very proudly host a QFK sewing event the 1st Wednesday and the 3 Sunday of every month from 12 to 4pm at Abby’s.   You will find a large selection of fabrics, backing and batting in the store where a portion of the proceeds will go to QFK’s.  QFK’s has provided us with a limited supply of free kits or you can bring your own stash to quilt with. When bringing your own stash please keep in mind these quilts will be washed on a daily basis so the quality of fabric is important. If you are not a quilter but would like to donate in some way, you can purchase  batting, you can purchase a pre-cut kit and leave it with us for someone to sew, or you can always take it home and bring it back when you have completed it and we will gladly send it along with the others. We will always need volunteers to Iron, Cut, layer etc. For more info visit Abby’s Quilting Corner in person or on the web or Facebook.  Quiltsforkids.org is also full of facts, how to volunteer and moving first person stories.

I look forward to seeing everyone!!
